Upon initial acquisitions in 1998, the company expanded into a sales and marketing center for DVD and VHS, and began releasing titles in December of that year. Since 1998, SlingShot has acquired a video library and the respective distribution rights for more than 125 quality film titles. SlingShot is an entertainment video content acquisition, development and supply company that has several dozen existing licensors and content partners.

The company’s product development allows it to develop high quality content, specifically designed for new entertainment markets. As a result, SlingShot’s content is able to generate more market enthusiasm with relatively lower budgets that enable the globalized mass-marketing strategies of an all-media distributor to better create awareness for a new brand and expand it across multiple markets.

SlingShot licenses/produces films and sells to major North American retail customers such as Kmart, Wal*mart, Best Buy, Musicland/Sam Goody, Target, Transworld, Border’s, Barnes & Noble, Virgin, Tower Video, Wherehouse, and via the Internet thru amazon.com, buy.com, deepdiscountdvd.com, dvdplanet.com and many additional retail and e-commerce sites.
