3D Proprietary Technology Available for the First Time on Home Video
Burbank, CA – SlingShot Entertainment, the leading supplier of large format films on DVD, offers thrills and chills in another dimension in October 2001 with the release of four 3D large format films. Originally seen in IMAX® theaters, the films include Haunted Castle, featuring the voice of Harry Shearer, Alien Adventure, Encounter in the Third Dimension, starring Elvira - Mistress of the Dark and Ultimate G’s.
Also available is the Ultimate 3D Collection featuring Haunted Castle, Encounter in the Third Dimension and Alien Adventure plus a 3D Home Theater 3D-viewing system including two pairs of wired shutter glasses, a video synchronization box, RCA video extension, power supply, and instruction manual. This collection has a suggested retail price of $99.99 and is available in November.
All four DVDs are specially formatted to provide an interactive and immersive 3D experience in a personal environment. Users wear LCD shutter glasses for viewing the same technology used in public, large format 3D presentations. The glasses feature a digital S-Video video interface providing high performance compatibility with high-resolution video sources.
This is the first in a series of professional 3D DVD available for the first time to consumers from SlingShot Entertainment. During the next few months, additional releases will include extreme sports, horror, science fiction and more.

All four DVDs carry a suggested retail price of $19.99. Additional bonus features include Director’s Commentaries, "Making of" featurettes and behind-the-scenes footage.
