Craig "Spike" Decker and Mike Gribble, popularly known as Spike and Mike®, founded Mellow Man Productions Inc. in 1977. Although Mike Gribble passed away in 1994, Spike continued to produce shows with the highest standards of artistic and subversive excellence. The original mission of Mellow Manor Productions was to promote underground bands with retro animated shorts.
