SlingShot Entertainment Signs Exclusive Worldwide Agreement For This Breathtaking Period Film!
Burbank, CA – SlingShot Entertainment has entered into a worldwide multi-year distribution agreement with Scottish Enterprise Dunbartonshire for the exclusive home entertainment rights of Legend of Loch Lomond. The film was specially commissioned by Scottish Enterprise Dunbartonshire to be screened at Loch Lomond Shores, Scotland’s premiere visitor destination. Just north of Glasgow, Loch Lomond is an area whose tumultuous history and folklore have fascinated millions for centuries. SlingShot Entertainment has slated the film to be released on both DVD and VHS in the first quarter of 2003.
Legend of Loch Lomond premiered this past summer at the royal launch of the attraction and marked the opening of the iWerks theater at Loch Lomond Shores. The story is set in the breathtaking surroundings of Loch Lomond, a celebrated and unique place in Scottish folklore. The area is famous for its many glacier-formed islands that seem to float in an ever-changing landscape. It remains a popular visitor destination because of the inspiring beauty, mystical presence, magical past as well as stunning myths and legends.

Legend of Loch Lomond is based on the story of the world-famous song, “The Bonnie Bonnie Banks O’ Loch Lomond.” It is the dramatic ghost story of 18th century lovers cruelly separated by war, but reunited in the present day by a beautiful young singer who inadvertently becomes entangled in their tale. The story takes place on a Midsummer’s Night, a time when two worlds, the modern day and magical past collide.
